Uptown Sports Academy 2008 Special Events

The weekend of March 21- 23, 2008, the Englewood-based Uptown Sports Academy are planning to host a "Roundball Classic Weekend" at the Rothman Athletic Center on the campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University- Hackensack, NJ. It will include the following youth and adult basketball activities:

1- Friday, March 21, 2008 Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA Youth Basketball Clinic (FREE for Boys & Girls 8- 13 years old). Sessions are 10 am- 1 pm (Girls) & 2 pm- 5 pm (Boys). This is an opportunity for all kids to showcase their skills, as well as to sign up for the USA Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA Draft for its Youth Summer Basketball League that will run in July- August 2008.

2- Saturday, March 22, 2008 the 2nd Annual Bill Willoughby Roundball Classic Showcase Event. A quadrupleheader feat. 120 of the Top High School Seniors (Boys & Girls) from Bergen , Essex, Hudson & Passaic Counties. Coaches will include: Bob Hurley, Sr, (Hudson County Boys), Dan Hurley (Essex County Boys), Damon Wright (Passaic County Boys), Brain Long & Gordon Whiting (Bergen County Boys), Felicia Oliver (Essex County Girls), Dan Reardon & Bill DeFazio (Hudson County Girls), Marquette Burgess (Passaic County Girls) & Al Roth (Bergen County Girls). Special invited guests include: Dr. Aaron Graham (Bergen County Superintendent of Schools), Rory Sparrow (Former NBA Player), Brenda Blackmon (Anchor- My 9 News), Tom Coughlin (Head Coach NY Giants) & others.

3- Sunday, March 23, 2008 Easter "3 on 3 Roundball Challenge" for Adult Men & Women over 18 years old. Cash, trophies & other prizes will be given.
